Eileen has been a resident of Kennebunkport since 1989. She has volunteered and raised funds for Consolidated School (FOPS); Kennebunkport Health Council; Community Harvest, and also served as a Kennebunkport Cub Scout Leader. Eileen has worked locally for more than 25 years.
"I have been fortunate in my upbringing and was taught to give back to my family, community, help those in need; and involve myself in local and national issues. I love where I live so these qualities are easy for me to put in practice. Historically, Kennebunkport has
been a wonderful place to raise a family. Today this is threatened; our children can’t afford to live here and our seniors can’t downsize to remain here. A healthily community thrives on both; children learning from the grandparents and grandparents having a sense of belonging. It is symbiotic! By our example our children become the next wave of volunteers, nurses, school teachers, parents, caregivers and so on. We can continue to create a vital, vibrant, self sustaining community."
